Building a Stronger Foundation:
In 2025, the SARH Foundation took an important step toward long-term sustainability by partnering with PRIDE Philanthropy, a national fundraising consulting firm dedicated to helping nonprofits unlock their full philanthropic potential.
This partnership marked a shift from informal fundraising efforts to a more intentional and structured approach. Through hands-on training and strategic guidance, Foundation leadership and board members began building a stronger fundraising framework designed to support growth for years to come.
With PRIDE’s support, the Foundation focused on clarifying its fundraising structure, strengthening board engagement, and developing a culture of philanthropy across the organization. Rather than simply raising funds for immediate needs, the Foundation began laying the groundwork for transformational giving.
This investment in training and strategy positions the SARH Foundation to pursue larger gifts, deepen donor relationships, and expand its impact in the community. In many ways, 2025 was a year of building capacity so that future years can be defined by even greater opportunity.
Laying the Groundwork for Transformational Giving:
In 2025, the Foundation laid the groundwork for transformational giving by developing its first formal Naming Rights Policy and curated inventory of opportunities. While these materials are used thoughtfully in conversations with prospective major donors, they represent something much larger.
By clearly identifying meaningful opportunities for investment, the Foundation is now better positioned to secure significant gifts that will strengthen hospital services, enhance facilities, and create lasting community impact. This step reflects a more strategic and forward-thinking approach to philanthropy, opening the door for legacy-level support in the years ahead.
Strengthening Leadership and Community Representation:
In 2025, the SARH Foundation Advisory Board welcomed two new members, Amanda Pitard and Marsha Robertson, expanding its leadership and strengthening its connection to the community. Each brings valuable experience and perspective that will help guide the Foundation’s fundraising growth and long-term strategy.
The Advisory Board plays a critical role in advancing the Foundation’s mission by championing philanthropic efforts, fostering donor relationships, and serving as ambassadors for the hospital.

Building Pride in Our Hospital:
In response to employee interest and requests, the SARH Foundation launched SARH Swag in 2025, an online storefront offering branded merchandise available through the Foundation website.
What began as a simple request for logo apparel not available in the gift shop quickly evolved into an opportunity to strengthen connection and pride. Employees and community members can now visibly support their local hospital, while proceeds from each purchase help fund Foundation initiatives.
While SARH Swag is not a major revenue driver, it represents something meaningful. It creates another touchpoint between the hospital and the community, reinforces brand visibility, and allows supporters to show their pride in local healthcare.
